El Parque Nacional Semuc Champey es un ed\u00e9n que se encuentra localizado en Cob\u00e1n, Alta Verapaz, muy cerca del municipio de Lanqu\u00edn en la Rep\u00fablica de Guatemala.
\nSemuc Champey, en idioma Q\u2019eqchi significa \u201cdonde el r\u00edo se esconde\u201d debido a que en uno de los extremos se encuentra el caudaloso R\u00edo Cahab\u00f3n a 300 mts de largo, internado en una caverna de piedra caliza en donde cruza por debajo de pozas de 1 \u2013 3 mts de profundidad, cuyo color var\u00eda a lo largo del a\u00f1o seg\u00fan las condiciones climatol\u00f3gicas.
